Director's Message

The Rural Capacities Development Committee (RCDC) was established in 2001 by a group of educated Afghan volunteers, as a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental organization.

After long years of violence, conflict, and war, Afghanistan remains one of the world’s poorest and least developed countries. RCDC respects human diversity and is committed to struggling against discrimination in any aspect, including age, disability, ethnicity, gender religion, and tribal affiliation. RCDC strives to uphold all human rights, ensuring everyone enjoys dignity and is treated equally and fairly. Civil society plays an important role in such a historical period of the country, it needs to be smart, decisive, and active, act as a bridge between the society and the government and look closely at the sensitivity and maintain relations with the international community. It is worth mentioning that the profile of RCDC and its activities in relation to the various social, economic, educational, developmental, and humanitarian programs described will give you a clear picture of the principles on which this organization actively works. Your attention is particularly drawn to the men, women, children, host communities, and disadvantaged women who have been hit the hardest. Therefore, it is urgent to solve their problems.

With respects,

Mohammad Ali Shah Hazheer, RCDC Director
